Newborn photography should never be rushed or forced.
Every baby is different, and every session unfolds at your baby's pace. If your little one needs extra cuddles, feeding breaks, diaper changes, or simply doesn't enjoy a particular pose, we adjust accordingly.
Your baby's comfort will always take priority over getting a specific image.
HANDS-ON TRAINING & EDUCATION
Throughout my career, I have invested heavily in newborn safety education and hands-on training to ensure I am providing the safest possible experience for every family I serve.
I have completed multiple hands-on newborn photography mentorships with internationally recognized educator Ana Brandt, focusing on safe posing techniques, newborn handling, lighting, workflow, and overall session safety.
Continuing education remains an important part of my business because industry standards, techniques, and best practices continue to evolve.
BABY-LED NEWBORN SESSIONS
I believe the best newborn sessions happen when babies are allowed to guide the experience.
Rather than forcing poses, I watch your baby's cues and adjust throughout the session. This creates a calm environment where your newborn remains comfortable while still creating beautiful, timeless images.
Many of the images parents love most come from natural movements, stretches, yawns, and cuddles.
SAFE POSING PRACTICES
Not every pose is appropriate for every baby.
Some newborn poses require additional support, spotters, or composite editing techniques to create the final image safely. Whenever a pose requires extra support, your baby's safety is never compromised for the sake of a photograph.
Many images that appear to show a baby unsupported are actually created using multiple images combined together during editing.
COMPOSITE IMAGES & SPOTTING
Certain advanced newborn poses are created using composite photography techniques.
This means a parent or spotter is supporting the baby throughout the entire process, and the support is removed later during editing. At no point is a newborn left unsupported in a pose that could compromise their safety.

Props, wraps, blankets, and session items are cleaned regularly, and sessions are designed to provide a calm, warm, welcoming environment for both baby and parents.

A CALM, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT
Located in Woodstock, Georgia, my newborn photography studio was thoughtfully designed with both parents and babies in mind.
The studio is fully equipped with professional newborn photography props, wraps, blankets, and accessories, allowing you to simply arrive and enjoy the experience without the stress of bringing everything yourself.
Parents are welcome to relax in the studio lobby during the session, complete with comfortable seating, a coffee station, and refreshments. For families bringing older siblings, I also provide a small selection of toys and activities to help keep little ones entertained while we focus on capturing beautiful newborn portraits.
My goal is to create a calm, welcoming environment where you can slow down, relax, and enjoy these first precious days with your baby.
